__Originally from the UK, Hannah has been based in Los Angeles since 2009, where she began to pursue her love of painting.
Influenced by a range of great artists from Gauguin and Picasso to Hockney, Kahlo and Alice Neel, Hannah's work has focused on exploring the complexity of personality through portraiture.
Her collection "Hollywood Seniors" was inspired by students who attend one of Hannah's art classes aimed at residents of low income housing projects. Playing with styles and form, her aim was to do justice to the strength of the personalities she meets each week, finding strength and stoicism rather than weakness and frailty.
In addition to portraiture, Hannah has been discovering her new neighborhood of Highland Park, experimenting with a new style as she explores its landscape as well as delving into a bit of abstract work inspired by her compost bin!
